While Ted, Emma and I were bicycling last Saturday, May 7th, 2011 for the St. David's 2011 Break The Hunger Hunger Bike Tour event, others were taking part in the Kinnelon Security Shredding Event.
As we bicycled past Kinnelon Borough Hall early Saturday morning, I couldn't help but wonder at the mountain of shreddables about to be assembled. What would it look like? How massive a pile would it be?
And, how successful would the shredding be for the Kinnelon Public Library?
Ron Leavesley must have read my mind because he sent me the following message:
Christine:
For your information, the shredding program was a great hit.
We did better than 2010 with over 6,000 pounds ground up. We benefit and DPW benefits by getting a recycle credit for the over 6,000 pounds.
Thanks, Ron
And, then, Carol Sventy came through with the photos in this post!
Were you there? Did your stuff get shredded? I met someone this week who wished he had known about the Kinnelon Security Shredding event...
Thanks, Ron and Carol.
On behalf of Ron, Carol and the Friends of the Kinnelon Library, Thank You for coming out and contributing to this momentously secure shredding!
